Job Description
Perform janitorial services, maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utilities to ensure proper operations of rest areas in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure all operational and safety procedures are properly followed, maintaining a clean and safe work area.
2. Clean comfort stations, emptying trash receptacles, replenish restroom supplies, clean restrooms including walls, mirrors, and remove graffiti when required. Pick up loose litter on-site.
3. Perform maintenance of grounds including landscaping, cutting, trimming, edging, planting and maintaining bedding areas, watering, weeding, and removing grass clippings and tree trimmings.
4. Clean and repair tables, benches, and arbors as required.
5. Assist public with use of facilities, giving directions as required, and answering questions as needed.
Requirements:
1. High school diploma or GED.
2. Knowledge of lawn maintenance equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Custodial experience.
2. Grounds maintenance experience.
Work Environment:
This position is primarily local travel and may involve working in outdoor weather conditions, extreme heat and cold, moving mechanical parts and vibration, and the noise level in the work environment can be loud.
Physical Demands:
This position requires full range of mobility in upper and lower body, ability to reach overhead, work in various positions including stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time, lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks, and frequently lift 50 pounds throughout the assigned workday.
Additional Information:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities and is both part-time and full-time depending upon assigned schedule. Nights and weekend work are required.
