Work Readiness PT Instructor

Richard J. Daley College is looking to hire a PT Instructor to teach Work Readiness course in the Continuing Education Program. This course is scheduled for the Fall 2024 semester.
In this course the Work Readiness Instructor will develop the Job Readiness Program which provides job readiness training in areas of: individual and group career readiness skills training to students, soft and hard skills, self- presentation, working on communication skills, job interviews, the use of technology and equipment and how this applies to a work experience.
The Work Readiness Instructor will develop a robust Job Readiness Program for Continuing Education students. The instructor will ensure that students gain knowledge in identifying strategies for successful job interviews.
· Teaches classes and provides instruction to students enrolled in the Work Skills
Course, including identify students work skills based on their strengths.
· Teaches classes and provides instruction to students to develop interview techniques and understand self-brand
· Implements instructional plans to teach students how to use resume templates
· Creates lesson plans and provides instruction to students to develop a cover letter
· Provides instruction to students to gain knowledge in applying for a job
· Provides instruction to students to complete job applications
· Provides instruction to students to be able to understand workplace culture and expectations
· Provides instruction to students to excel in the modern-day workforce
· Integrates critical thinking into the learning environment.
· Uses a variety of teaching methods to assist students with differing educational levels and learning styles in meeting learning objectives.
· Satisfied progress benchmarks based on Student Learning Outcomes.
· Prepares, evaluates performance and assigns grades.
· Participates in developing and revising curriculum and course content for areas of instruction assigned to improve student learning and quality of instruction.
· Participates in weekly staff meetings to discuss program related issues, students’ progress, strengths and challenges. Makes collaborative decisions on program changes.
· Attends and participates in staff development activities and workshops, student conferences, and program orientation.
· Maintains required class records on student attendance and grades.
· Conducts a needs assessment to further understand the needs and trends of students.
- Bachelor’s in Education.
Prefer qualifications:
- Masters in Secondary Education, Special Education Certification or other education certifications. Demonstrated teaching experience
