Position Overview
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a pod of 24-hour residential homes, ensuring exceptional care and compliance with all regulatory standards. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to support both individuals and employees in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, train, and support management employees (RPS II, III)
- Oversee scheduling, quality assurance, and data integrity
- Manage licensing preparation, onsite reviews, and plans of improvement
- Ensure health and safety compliance across all locations
- Assist with hiring and recruitment efforts
- Participate in the administrative on-call rotation
- Step into open management positions when needed, fulfilling all Residential Program Manager responsibilities (including behavior intervention, employee supervision, service coordination, skill training, and quality support services)
Qualifications
- Education & Experience:
- High School diploma or GED with at least 3 years of experience managing a 24-hour I/DD home
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Human Services, Education, Social Work, or a related field may substitute for 1 year of experience
- ODDS Behavior Professional status preferred (or ability to qualify)
Required Certifications
- OIS Level IF
- First Aid/CPR
- Must pass a DHS background check
