Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and assisting customers with their shopping needs. You will play a key role in driving sales and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance in locating products within the store.
- Utilize effective communication skills to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products.
- Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately, including processing payments and managing cash.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and product information to effectively upsell and cross-sell items.
- Assist in stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and ensuring the store is clean and well-presented.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly with professionalism.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance overall store performance.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on customer interaction and phone etiquette.
- Basic understanding of retail math to assist with inventory management and sales tracking.
- Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems is a plus.
- Ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining a friendly demeanor.
- A passion for sales with a desire to meet or exceed performance targets.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
