Responsibilities:
Manage and supervise building engineering personnel, providing guidance and support for their professional development.
Ensure proper operation, maintenance, service, and repair of all building equipment.
Oversee and participate in the preventative maintenance program, ensuring all equipment is maintained to company standards.
Manage properties as directed by the Senior Project Manager and property owner, by contract requirements.
Conduct regular inspections of building systems and equipment, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
Recommend and implement improvements for preventive maintenance programs.
Oversee all building systems, including fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical.
Stay current with the latest HVAC technology trends.
Provide weekly and monthly reports as required.
Conduct daily checks with staff, and approve timecards, vacations, and overtime.
Screen, hire, supervise, and coordinate training activities for engineering staff.
Assist with reducing operating expenses while maintaining and enhancing service quality.
Assist in generating and executing budgets.
Assist with generating scope for /RFA/RFP.
Ensure safety guidelines are followed and OSHA compliance is maintained.
Assist with construction projects by reviewing drawings to ensure standards are followed.
Manage vendor contracts and monitor and control energy efficiency.
Assist with generating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications:
5 years of experience in the management and supervision of building mechanical operations and maintenance.
Proven ability to lead a maintenance program for commercial facilities.
Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Financial knowledge is necessary for reading and understanding budgets and reports.
Familiarity with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and their use in energy efficiency.
Basic computer skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Working knowledge of building systems, contractual maintenance, construction, and related services.
Familiarity with local laws and building codes about building operations and safety.
Federal government experience is a plus.
CMMS experience in Maximo is a plus.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
A bachelor's degree in industrial maintenance, engineering, or management is preferred.
Certified trade experience is a plus.
Background Check:
Candidates must be able to successfully pass a Public Trust background check.
Ideal candidates will have a completed and approved Public Trust background and a Federal Project background.
