Job Title : Fabricator / Assistant Lead
Location : Grand Rapids, MI
Pay : $23 / hr
Shift : 1st shift, 8 : 00 am - 4 : 30 pm, overtime as needed including Saturdays
Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced Fabricator / Assistant Lead to join our team. In this dual-role position, you will be responsible for fabricating sheet metal components and assisting the lead fabricator in overseeing daily operations.
Responsibilities for the Fabricator / Assistant Lead :
- Fabricate sheet metal components from raw materials according to design specifications and blueprints
- Operate metalworking machinery such as shears, press brakes, and welders
- Assist the Lead Fabricator in overseeing daily shop operations
- Perform quality checks on fabricated components
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior fabricators
- Troubleshoot fabrication issues and implement solutions
- Ensure all safety protocols and company guidelines are followed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with other departments and team members to meet project deadlines
