Candidates must have permanently served at least one year in a title designated as appropriate for transfer in accordance with Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. Transfer eligible titles include but may not be limited to: Office Assistant 2, Office Assistant 2 Calculations, Office Assistant 2 Keyboarding.

Individuals certified eligible for the 55b/c program under the Governor’s Program to Hire Persons/Veterans with Disabilities pursuant to Section 55b/c of the Civil Service Law will also be considered. To be considered, you must meet the minimum qualifications and provide a copy of your letter of eligibility with your response.
Candidates must have a High school diploma or GED AND one year of full-time general office experience*.
- Qualifying experience: For the purposes of this examination, general office experience includes tasks such as preparing correspondence, reports, statements and other material; operating office equipment; answering telephones; verifying, recording and processing forms and documents such as contracts and requisitions; and performing general clerical duties according to established procedures.
Job Duties: Under the direct supervision of the Associate WC Examiner, the Senior Examiner will:
Under the direct supervision and guidance of the LOSU, duties of this position include, but are not limited to: process work assigned in CIS work queue accurately and in a timely manner; greet and provide general information to constituents; assist with WCB website online forms and applications; assist parties who require language access services when necessary; assist with voter registration; assist WCLJs and constituents with hearing process. When in-person hearings resume, assist with public use of computers to access eCase; receive and process documents and evidence for administration of claims. Some travel may be required to provide coverage in service centers.
