Position Summary
As an Instructor, you will be at the forefront of our collaborative, dynamic, and fast-paced Instruction team. This role is not just a job but an opportunity to significantly impact the lives of our clients who have become discouraged in their job search.
This position involves leading both virtual and in-person classes, delivering faith-based training, collaborating on developing new content, and actively contributing to the empowerment and long-term employment success of individuals seeking lasting career transformation.
A. QUALIFICATIONS:
· Education: A college degree is preferred (experience may be substituted for education).
· Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience in instruction, training, counseling, or related social services fields is strongly preferred. Proficient in active listening, written communication, public speaking, and building trust.
B. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Primary Responsibilities
- Teach assigned courses as instructed to facilitate the achievement of specific objectives for each class.
- Maintain professionalism in all trainings or any WorkFaith events.
- Provide in-class Monitoring Support for Hybrid classes as needed.
- Collaborate to create and develop new courses for WorkFaith Now and other training.
- Maintain the content and structure of the curriculum provided throughout each presentation.
- Facilitating Practice Interview Sessions with volunteers on Day 4 of the Job Search Accelerator.
- Participate in the preparation and presentation of the Job Search Accelerator Celebrations.
- Help clients troubleshoot general technical issues on the JSA platform.
- Assist management in providing for the proper security, care, and use of WorkFaith programs and equipment.
- Report to management any questionable exchanges between clients and instructors.
- Maintain a professional disposition in interactions with WorkFaith clients and staff.
- Commit to keeping scheduled assignments.
- Maintain an understanding and adhere to any implemented changes in the subject area of the assignment.
- Maintain professional standards of confidentiality and discretion regarding the personal information shared by clients, staff, volunteers, and guests at all training sessions.
- Administer pre- and post-surveys for each training course.
- Provide management with course attendance for each training course taught.
- Willingness to travel to various training sites as needed per the Program department.
2. Secondary Responsibilities
Administration
- Present classes in the absence of other Instructors and maintain course caseload.
- Monitor classquestions@workfaith.org to respond to general questions from the clients.
- Acknowledging clients' applications and informing them of the feedback process and time frame.
- Advise management of planned time off and upcoming scheduling conflicts at least two weeks or a month in advance.
- Assist management in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for clients, staff, volunteers, and guests, whether online or in-person, relating to the Instructor's assignment.
Financial Awareness and Stewardship
- Fosters an understanding of philanthropy within the organization.
- Consistently design and provide high-quality client success stories to support Development's fundraising strategies as directed by leadership.
3. Competencies

4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office:
- Exhibits proficiency in a range of Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, allowing for efficient document creation, data analysis, and communication.
- Information Systems Knowledge: This person possesses an intermediate level of experience with Information Systems, which can be a valuable asset in managing and leveraging technology for business needs.
5. Other Requirements
- The position requires the applicant to have a valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and a clear driving record for the last three years.
6. Work Environment
- Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required for events or meetings.
- Hybrid work arrangements may be available, depending on organizational needs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $52,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
