About The Role

We’re seeking a Highly Experienced Dog Trainer to lead our training programs and oversee daycare operations. This pivotal role requires expertise in canine behavior, advanced training techniques, and the ability to educate both clients and staff through workshops and hands-on sessions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct Weekly Group Training Classes: Lead sessions every weekend, focusing on obedience, task performance, and resolving behavioral issues.
• Basic Obedience: Teach foundational commands such as sit, stay, come, and loose leash walking.
• Intermediate Obedience: Build upon basic skills with added distractions, introducing commands like heel, touch, and advanced recall.
• Advanced Obedience: Focus on off-leash control, complex commands, and preparation for obedience trials.
• Oversee Daycare Operations & Pack Dynamics: Ensure a harmonious environment by monitoring interactions and managing group behaviors.
• Evaluate Daycare Applications: Review applications, conduct trial days, and perform temperament assessments to determine suitability for our pack.
• Develop Enrichment & Training Programs: Create and update weekly plans emphasizing mental stimulation, obedience, and behavior modification.
• Staff Training & Development: Educate team members on dog behavior, body language, training methodologies, and enrichment activities.
• Client Workshops: Organize and lead workshops on canine behavior, providing clients with insights and techniques to enhance their relationship with their dogs.
• Client Communication: Offer expert advice to pet owners on training techniques and behavior management.
  

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a Dog Trainer or Handler, with a focus on obedience training, task performance, and behavioral modification.
• Knowledge: In-depth understanding of canine behavior, positive reinforcement techniques, and enrichment activities.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead group training sessions, manage daycare operations, and conduct educational workshops.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to educate staff and clients, with strong interpersonal skills.
