The Consultant works to deliver our WorkForce Software (WFS) Suite (Time, Scheduling, Integrations, etc.) in a way that solves the unique business challenges for each customer. The Consultant works with the Global Services project teams to ensure the WFS Suite products being developed comply with the needs of the customer and are delivered successfully by configuring the software according to the customer’s documented workforce management business requirements and validating their expected results. They perform coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the Workforce Software Suite development process. They continue to develop their skills in consulting, leadership client relationships, and in the knowledge of WFS Products by taking WFS product suite training courses and maintaining certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for configuring for WorkForce Software (WFS) Suite (Time, Scheduling, Integrations, etc.) according to the customer business requirements using JavaScript, HTML, or other scripting tools Responsible for supporting confirmation and refinement of business requirements with the client in meetings and client workshops
  • Understands the WorkForce Software Product configuration requirements (i.e., correct naming conventions and how this impacts the database, customizing templates, troubleshoot settings, proper sequence of product setting implementation)
  • Understands project scope and implementation approach for assigned projects
  • Continuously improve WorkForce Software Product solution skills by staying updated with the latest WorkForce Management Software enhancements
  • Handle complex issues including administrative and configuration challenges
  • Communicate roadblocks and seek out guidance in a timely manner
  • Write complex formulas that leverage mathematical and/or programming skills
  • Perform unit and system testing of configured application and ensure test cases pass as described by their requirements
  • Help facilitate client workshops either onsite or remotely demonstrating understanding in best practices during the implementation of Workforce Management Software
  • Identify and escalate out of scope requirements and delays to the Project Manager or Senior Team members
  • Organize multiple tasks and prioritize as needed to meet deadlines
  • Attend and participate in team meetings
  • Follow process and continuously improve skills by following procedures and processes established by the Application Consultant Competency Team Leaders
  • Estimate work effort with accuracy
  • Provide status updates with Project Managers, customers, and stakeholders on project status
  • Partner with all WFS internal teams during project phases to ensure a successful customer implementation
  • Assist customers with software testing along with roll out and go-live activities such as data loads and system initialization
  • Mentor others regarding the aspects of labor laws and how they impact employers and their employees
  • Respond and follow through on customer requirements in a professional and timely manner
  • Attend training courses and undertake self-learning as required to further develop the skills and knowledge necessary for continued success
  • Maintain WFS Product Suite certifications required
  • Able to consider the customer needs in the development of strategic plans
  • Troubleshoot issues and escalate problems to appropriate technical experts
  • Track billable and non-billable project hours
  • Use professional concepts and to apply company policies and procedures to deliver WFS solutions to clients
  • Work on project implementation assignments and follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data
  • Help mentor other team members
  • Understands various project management methodologies

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience and demonstrated knowledge of SQL and writing simple to moderate queries
  • Minimum of 1 year experience and demonstrated knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, or other scripting tools
  • Experience with HCM functional domain and business processes
  • Familiarity with business applications, such as Excel or DBMS systems
  • Logical and technical mindset for analyzing problems and identifying root causes
  • Entrepreneurial mindset required, as the role needs capability of rapidly shifting focus and responding to ever-changing conditions
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal
  • Knowledgeable of and understands implementation principles and lifecycle
  • Capability to exercise mature judgement
  • Demonstrates technical aptitude to learn quickly and adapts to new circumstances
  • Ability to work on a dynamic, customer-focused team and establish excellent working relationships
  • Demonstrates a strong desire to grow both technically and as a professional consultant
  • Familiarity with or background in HR, Payroll, or Workforce Management, considered a bonus
  • Experience providing application support for complex software systems, preferred
  • Programming experience utilizing Java, C#, C or 4GL programming languages
  • Familiarity with at least one report writer such as Crystal Reports, Cognos, Actuate, etc., preferred
  • SQL Report creation experience

Travel

  • Travel may be required depending on the assignment

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Degrees in Business Administration, MIS, or Computer Science strongly preferred.

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity, or commissions.
