The City of Kennedale, Texas (pop. 9,800) is seeking Public Works Technicians dedicated to providing performs a wide variety of tasks the maintenance and repair of city streets, drainage system, parks, city facilities and city rights-of-way. This includes performing manual labor activities such as shoveling, raking, directing traffic, pothole repairs, crack sealing, and other general repair of streets.
Other assignment/tasks include: mowing, debris removal, inspection and maintenance of playground equipment position is responsible for the operation of drainage ditches and other related maintenance issues. This position is responsible for the operation of a variety of equipment such as: dump trucks, flat beds, mowers, tractors, asphalt rollers, crack sealers and all other construction and maintenance related equipment. Public Works Staff are required to participate in the on-call after hours rotation; must be available for call back as needed for emergency situations.
