Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Machine Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, disassembling, and maintaining large-diameter machinery, ensuring smooth operation through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
- Machine Assembly & Disassembly:
- Assemble and disassemble large-diameter machinery efficiently and safely.
- Preventive Maintenance & Repairs:
- Conduct full preventive maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance.
- Perform oil and air system control repairs as needed.
- Machine Adjustments & Component Changes:
- Change needles and jack actuators.
- Adjust feeder and carrier settings for optimal performance.
- Execute style and cam changes as required.
- Material Handling & Processing:
- Load and position fabrics onto machines properly.
- Ensure fabrics are processed correctly to meet quality standards.
- Troubleshooting & Repairs:
- Identify and resolve issues such as:
- Fixing drops, holes, and miss-selections.
- Replacing broken needles and butts.
- Addressing inlay knitting fabric load-up and fabric fall issues.
Physical Demands:
This role requires physical stamina and dexterity to perform essential job functions, including:
- Standing: Must be able to stand for prolonged periods.
- Walking: Frequent movement across the worksite is required.
- Repetitive Motion: Requires substantial movements of wrists, hands, and fingers.
- Lifting & Carrying:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $21.50 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 48 per week
