Are you a Bookkeeper, CPA, or Accountant looking for change? We are searching for a Tax Accountant for a local Accounting firm that is located in Montgomery. The Tax Accountant will focus on the preparation of tax returns, advise clients on financial matters, and ensure compliance with tax laws as well as perform audits and investigations.
What You May Do :
- Prepare tax returns : Collect tax forms, track client paperwork, and prepare tax returns for filing
- Review financial records : Examine financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax laws
- Identify tax credits : Look for opportunities to reduce tax liability and maximize tax returns
- Tax audits : Coordinate with tax authorities to manage tax audits, inquiries, and notices
- Advise clients : Help clients create budget plans, increase income, and save money
- Stay up to date : Keep current with financial and accounting trends and software
- Communicate with clients : Keep clients informed about their tax returns and provide recommendations
- Tax training : Provide training and support to staff to foster a culture of tax compliance
- Tax supervision : Oversee the work of more junior tax employees and provide mentorship
