Job Title : CNC Miller Programmer
Job Type : Days based, Perm
Salary : £38,000 - £40,000
Hours : Flexible 37hr week Mon-Fri
Location : Abingdon
Our client is a precision machining company, run by engineers, not accountants, providing a complete one-stop-shop service for high quality, low quantity prototype and experimental components and assemblies. They love high quality complex components and short lead times. A specialist in short, they are a specialist sub-contract manufacturer, with CNC and full assembly capabilities.
They are looking to add another to their team of 10 Millers.
What’s the job?
Work in all types of raw material from Stainless Steel, Aluminium, Copper, Brass through to Plastics.
Small batch work – OneOff
Doosan and Hurco machines with Fanuc and Winmax controls
Working on CADCAM packages (Hypermill)
Responsibilities
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Effective problem-solving skills
Ability to work alone or as part of a small team
Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure / cost of poor quality
Previous experience within the aerospace tool making industry advantageous
Engineering apprenticeship as a tool maker or equivalent
