Fabricator Team Leader – MIG Welder / Fabricator
Location : Tamworth
Pay : £18.40 per hour
Hours : Monday–Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM
Are you an experienced MIG Welder & Fabricator with leadership skills? Do you have a background in vehicle or crane fabrication and the ability to guide a skilled team? We are looking for a dedicated Fabricator Team Leader to take charge of workshop operations, ensuring high-quality workmanship and efficient production.
About the Role :
Lead and manage a team of 4-8 fabricators and welders in a busy workshop environment
MIG welding plates, boxes, and channels (6mm–25mm) to a high standard
Hands-on fabrication, working in situ and in various positions – a good level of fitness is required
Producing strong fillet and vertical welds – coding is a bonus, but not essential (training provided for the right candidate)
Overseeing the construction of custom vehicle and crane bodywork
Ensuring quality control and adherence to project specifications
Training and mentoring junior team members to maintain high standards
What We’re Looking For :
- An experienced MIG Welder & Fabricator with leadership or supervisory experience
- Someone with a background in vehicle or crane fabrication (preferred)
- Strong hands-on skills and the ability to problem-solve on the job
- A team player who can motivate and support colleagues
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship
