  • Manage and direct the activities of the Maintenance Department to include avionics, aircraft maintenance, administration and parts.
  • Manage, direct and develop activities of employees engaged in all aspects of inspections, repair and overhaul of aircraft and aircraft accessories.
  • Manage and lead the planning and development of the department’s capability and market focus to ensure the center has the correct tooling, training and talent to provide this highest service level possible.
  • Regularly interact with customers to promote the Maintenance Department and to measure the level of customer satisfaction.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with local regulatory authorities, customers and vendors to ensure the Maintenance Department’s continued growth and successful operation.
  • Prepare department budget.
  • Establish procedures and controls to ensure expenditures do not exceed budgetary constraints.
  • Develop new business plans and discusses capital requirements and anticipated sales opportunities with management.
  • Perform personnel actions such as interviewing, hiring, scheduling, training, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, address complaints and resolve problems.
  • Encourage employee suggestions and involvement in the improvement and growth of the Maintenance Department.
  • Regularly inspect facility and equipment for compliance with safety, operation and appearance standards.
  • Plan, develop and implement new methods and procedures designed to improve customer service and operation efficiency, minimize operating cost and ensure greater utilization of labor and materials.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university plus three (3) – five (5) years related experience or training; or equivalent level of education and experience, plus ten (10) years' experience in general aviation and/or corporate jet aircraft. Must possess strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Must possess a valid state driver’s license. Must be proficient with Microsoft office products. Must possess an A & P license.

Responsibilities:

The following functions may be performed in variable weather and environmental conditions such as jet engine fumes, dust or jet engine noise. Must have ability to:

  • Regularly sit, talk and hear.
  • Frequently stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects and to reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Read, write and fluently speak and understand the English language.
  • Analyze, interpret and explain documents such as governmental regulations, installation and operating instruction and specifications, safety rules and procedures.
  • Write comprehensive reports, documents and correspondence.
  • Perform advanced calculations, prepare and understand routine financial and inventory reports and budget forecasts.
  • Listen and effectively present information to and communicate with groups of customers, vendors and employees.
