Groundsperson/Equipment operator
Our Ground Operations Specialists work on various residential and commercial tree service jobs using a variety of equipment from skid steers, mini skid steers, bucket trucks and tracked aerial lifts to hand tools to power tools.
Experience: Driving trucks with trailers, must have a valid, clean driver’s license and be insurable. Use of hand tools and chain saws.
Experience operating skid steers and use of wood chipper are desired. Prior experience in tree care/removal operations desired.
Duties and requirements:
- Conduct Professional tree trimming and removal operations as part of an efficient team.
- Maintain, operate and keep track of all tools and equipment used in daily operations.
- Operate skid steer/mini skid steer.
- Complete tasks in a safe and efficient manner. Keep work areas clean and safe.
- Perform landscaping duties related to tree care/removal operations.
- Be ready and willing to assist other crew members in all aspects of daily activities
- Must be willing to learn essential knots, running of ropes and rigging devices used in tree trimming and removal operations.
- Must be willing to learn to identify tree species
- Constantly observe and practice rigging, pruning and tree maintenance/removal skills in a continued effort to improve your own professional skills
- Possess physical strength and agility, good balance, good depth perception and the ability to hear verbal instructions from a distance
- Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and safety protocols.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, must display initiative and work ethic.
- Good communication skills and ability to professionally and politely interface with clients required.
- An interest in training as a backup aerial lift operator is desirable.
- Candidates with CDL A or B shall be compensated at a higher rate.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
