What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Guard position at Workmen's Circle MultiCare Center?
Workmens Circle Multicare Center is currently seeking a part time Security officer to join the team.
Job purpose: The security officer would be to maintain the safety of the facility, helping visitors sign in, viewing security cameras, transferring phone calls and maintaining the facilities security measures.
Qualifications:
- NYS Security Guard License current and in good standing
- Must be organized with alertness in making decisions in an emergency.
- Tact and diplomacy required for contact with people.
- Must be able to effectively interact with all levels of staff and the public.
- Has the capacity to handle multi-function assignments.
- Must be able to deal with high pressure situations in a calm and professional manner.
- Write factual reports documenting security/safety incidents.
- Telephone operation
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office
- Security Camera Operation
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
Duties and responsibilities may include:
- Patrols designated building of the home, off-site premises and parking lots to maintain order and safeguard life and property of residents, visitors, and employees.
- Monitors all doorways as assigned to prevent resident elopement.
- Will perform daily physical inspections of areas of egress and fire safety doors.
- Prepares written Incident Reports of unusual or emergency situations.
- Keeps logs and documents security events including but not limited to visitors and residents entering and exiting the facility.
- Gives routine information to patients, visitors, and employees and directs them to the proper individuals or office.
- Responsible for the enforcement of safety rules and regulations within the facility.
- Greets and interacts with others with consideration, courtesy, and respect.
