Company in north Lafayette has immediate opening for someone proficient in AutoCad with a base knowledge of nesting. This is a 7am-5pm M-F full time position. It is a plus to have a working knowledge of OmniWin or Sigma nest.
Duties include :
- Nesting parts : Using computer aided nesting software.
- Material optimization : Selecting the most appropriate material size and type for each order to minimize waste and costs
- Order processing : Reviewing production orders to ensure all necessary information is available for nesting.
- Software Proficiency : Maintaining update knowledge of CAD / CAM nesting software
- Quality control : Ensure nesting files are accurate and free of errors
- Communication : Communicating effectively and promptly with various dept. concerning nesting issues and / or other concerns.
Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
