IMMEDIATE OPENING FOR CAREER POSITION :
Worknet Staffing Lafayette is currently seeking a Lab Technician for a career position with a local business. Responsibilities include : quality assurance / quality control testing on oilfield products related to cementing and mud fluids. This position will mainly perform particle-size analysis using a Gilson Sieve tester, assist the main Laboratory Technician with tests, handle general upkeep of laboratory equipment and the work area, adhere to set company standards, and communicate with customers and company production facilities as needed. Ideal candidate will be detailed, organized, and hold previous experience in the area needed. A driver's license is required to do pickups and drop-offs of samples from the client manufacturing facilities periodically.
Mon - Fri, 8a - 5pm; Weekends as needed.
17 / hr | Temp to hire position
Requirements :
- 1yr experience as a Lab Tech
- 1yr experience for Chemistry Research and Development in chemistry
- Proficiency in Word and Excel for data entry
- Valid Driver's License with Insurable Driving Record
