Our business is booming, and our Director of Litigation needs someone to assist her and serve in the role of “second chair” on cases and trials.In this position, your clients will be large corporations, small businesses, startups, and high-level executives and professionals. Your responsibilities will include interviewing and meeting with clients, developing litigation strategy, performing legal research, drafting pleadings, managing discovery, and drafting and responding to dispositive motions. You will get to take and defend depositions, argue motions, prepare witnesses and experts, and attend Labor Commissioner hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and jury trials.You will also work directly with our Managing Shareholder, assisting him with his advice-and-counsel practice (e.g., advising employers on sensitive employee issues, drafting incentive compensation and other employment agreements, working with startups and small businesses on HR infrastructure buildouts, advising C-Suite executives on offer packages and departure strategies).About Workplace LegalFounded in 2018, Workplace Legal is an AV-rated law firm of “Super Lawyers” that represents corporate and individual clients across California in complex labor, employment, and HR matters. The result was Workplace Legal.Compensation and BenefitsIn accordance with California’s pay transparency law, the expected salary range for this position is between $150,000 / year - $250,000 / year for a 1,200 billable hour commitment. Your actual salary will depend on your experience and other job-related factors as permitted by law.
