Workplace Resource is searching for an Installation Supervisor at our Denver office. The purpose of the Installation Supervisor is to supervise the installation crews and assist with the efficient installation and reconfiguration of systems furniture within clients’ facilities delivering a high degree of customer satisfaction. Supervises assigned installation projects to ensure proper labor allocation, project completion on time. On large complex projects, will work under the direction of the Senior Installation supervisor.
What You'll Do
The Installation Supervisor is responsible for the following results:
- Supervises and controls the activities of installation crews assigned to a project to ensure proper labor allocation and adhere to the project budget, timely project completion and to the level of customer satisfaction required.
- Acts within assigned authority to follow up through field observations to make sure installation crews are dressed properly, adhering to company policies, delivering excellent customer service, reporting, and resolving problems arising on the way to a job site or at a customer site.
- Ensures timely invoicing of a project by understanding and following all processes, including but not limited to, completing paperwork flow from order entry to invoicing, time sheets/time entry, project activity forms, etc. on time.
- Ensures that all materials are accounted for a project by checking off product with the delivery shipper; assisting with the loading of the trucks prior to going out to a job site; monitoring overages and shortages throughout the project; reports all damages and product shortages to the Warehouse Manager and Project Managers.
- Ensures the project installation is completed accurately by inspecting the finished installation prior to the client inspection and then again with the client to make any final adjustments within assigned authority.
- Maintains solid business relationships by communicating, problem-solving and following up on regular basis with internal partners and customers to their satisfaction.
- Maintains compliance by assisting with unloading and proper disposal of any waste materials in the proper receptacle or dump; inspects the company’s trucks, completes the inspection form and turns in to the appropriate person; keeps trucks clean.
- Safely drives a straight and cubed truck following all local, state and DOT regulations.
- Assist with training and instructing Installers and temporary help/trainee employees on the proper way to assemble and install office furniture products and accessories using hand and power tools; reading plans, blueprints and elevation: architectural and furniture symbols; and basic electricity and systems furniture electrical component installation.
- Contributing to a team by accomplishing related results or projects as needed or assigned.

A successful Installation Supervisor will cultivate business relationships with other departments within Workplace Resource and provide positive and effective representation with internal and external customers of our business.
Educational and experience position requirements
A formal education and subsequent undergraduate/graduate degrees are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.
What we expect you already know
- Working in a similar position in furniture installation while supervising installation crews and subcontractors
- Achieving and maintaining technical and professional proficiency related to office furniture and product knowledge across most major lines that the dealership represents; understands product specifications and descriptions; can identify finishes, colors, and fabrics; knows installation processes and procedures for correct application and assembly for products; extensive knowledge and use of power and hand tools; and competent with using a computer, laptop, or electronic tablet.
- Strong understanding of interpreting and explaining construction and installation plans, blueprints and elevations, architectural and furniture symbols, product specifications and descriptions, basic finishes, colors, and fabrics.
- Knowledgeable about what, when, and how to use various types of hand and power tools as well as field measuring a worksite in preparation for installation. (Note: Role is required to purchase their own tools if necessary. A Tools Purchase Program is Available.)
- Understanding and working with basic electricity and systems furniture electrical component installation is required.
- Understanding the importance of accountability, doing quality work in all areas of the role, adhering to established processes and procedures to prevent errors as well as double checking work, and working effectively with high volume workload to reach the desired results.
- Setting the example as it relates to dependability, flexibility, and adaptability by fulfilling commitments consistently and reliably and being able to change course swiftly and purposefully when the needs of the business change. Must be available to work irregular hours, and extended shifts.

- Physical ability to lift, push or pull equipment and/or product weighing between 70 to 100 pounds as well climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, push/pull, or balance weight for extended periods of time.
- Possess the manual dexterity to operate hand and power tools frequently.
- Must have a current/valid driver’s license with a good driving record and ability to operate a company truck up to 26,000 pounds as well as has a personal vehicle to drive to a customer site.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an acceptable background check, D.O.T. physical, lift test and drug screen as needed for work sites that require it.

Pursuant to the Colorado Fair Pay Act, below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company if based in Colorado.
- Colorado Starting Salary: $25.00-$26.00 Non-Exempt (eligible for overtime)

Work Context
Must be able to travel up to 75% of the time to various client locations throughout Colorado and other States using your personal vehicle or by commercial or charter airplane. Will work mainly indoors in a typical office environment. Exposure to weather when traveling on business. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as office phone/smartphone, computer/laptop/computer keyboard/mouse, photocopiers, filing cabinets and printers. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Ability to visit and move around at construction and other customer/work sites, wearing appropriate safety protective gear. Ability to lift, carry, and otherwise transport work-related materials that frequently weigh up to 10 lbs. and that may occasionally weigh in excess of 25 lbs. Ability to work with numbers, research complex issues and resolve problems. Requires more advanced mathematical skills in order to understand spatial requirements and in doing bids. Must be able to read and comprehend complex written material, as well as ability to analyze, compare, evaluate, reconcile, and order data.
