Workplace Resource is searching for a Logistics Manager at our Denver office. The Logistics Manager will manage the people and the processes associated with operating a profitable warehouse and assist with workload management, training, communication, and best practices for the PM group; directly managing receiving, warehousing and distribution services. In addition, the Logistics Manager will ensure workplace health and safety requirements are met, take precautions to secure the warehouse contents against loss, and evaluate inventory on hand. Works with the Warehouse team to establish goals and objectives and holds them accountable for achieving these goals.
What You'll Do
- Manage Warehouse team to ensure projects and plans against goals and budget are met (e.g., timelines, determining resources needed, monitoring, and controlling costs) while showing the agility to adjust to changes as needed to support the business and achieve company goals.
- Managing Warehouse departmental budgets to perform at or under budget and adjusting as necessary during the year according to projected Sales performance.
- Managing ongoing process improvements and the integration of new technology across the company to increase flexibility, reduce administrative costs, and increase interactivity with customers.
~ Supervisory Functions
- Evaluate, lead, and implement projects, process improvements, and needed business changes.
- Develop, train, and mentor Warehouse team to effectively manage ongoing day-to-day business operations.
- Analyze staffing needs, hire, conduct performance evaluations, and develop skills and talents to sustain the company.
- Develop, implement, and continually improve formal onboarding and development paths for all PM and Warehouse staff.
- Model a culture of involvement that includes encouraging, mentoring, supporting, and rewarding others; pursuing a standard of performance and quality excellence; valuing creative and independent thinking, growth and accomplishment, and quality over quantity; place a high priority on developing and maintaining effective interpersonal relationships.
- Ensure inventory accuracy by conducting cycle counts, physical counts, and spot checks.
- Comply with building code requirements, OSHA, Worker’s Compensation, and other applicable health and safety laws by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; and ensuring accurate records and logs are kept.
- Oversee the disposition of returned product.
- Ensure all project management and warehouse responsibilities are cross-trained and appropriate back-up processes are in place.
- Manage the successful implementation of large and/or complex furniture related projects from the initial point of sale through punch list resolution.
- To communicate project management issues to the department manager
- Contributing to a team effort by accomplishing related results or projects as needed, including assisting with performance reviews for other departments.
- Cultivate business relationships with other departments and provide positive and effective representation with internal and external customers.

Educational and experience position requirements
A formal education and subsequent undergraduate/graduate degrees are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.
What we expect you already know

The ideal candidate will hold bachelor’s degree in facilities management, logistics, supply chain management or business administration and have a minimum of three to six years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be or get forklift certified and able to certify new operators.
- Working in a similar position within the office furniture industry, facilities, or tenant finishes
- Possessing specialized knowledge of office furniture product, design, ordering process, and installation.
- Technical and professional proficiency applying project management methodology and technical skills to create, read, and interpret project plans and specifications for internal and external customers.
- Technical, functional, professional expertise in warehouse procedures and techniques and asset inventory management systems.
- Knowledge of applicable laws, rules, regulations and/or policies and procedures associated with managing a warehouse.
- Detailed knowledge of inventory software; spreadsheet software and word processing software using a computer.
- Demonstrating high level of organization; have the ability to coordinate multiple responsibilities, understanding the importance of doing quality work, adhering to the standards to prevent errors, and working effectively with high volume workload to reach the desired results.

Pursuant to the Colorado Fair Pay Act, below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company if based in Colorado.

Colorado Starting Salary: $65,000-$75,000 Exempt (Not eligible for overtime)
