The Role
The purpose of the Project Manager is to manage the successful implementation of large and/or complex furniture related projects from the initial point of sale through punch list resolution; to communicate project management issues to the Logistics Director; and to understand and apply all aspects of the furniture processes within the dealership.
What You Will Do
~ Essential Job Responsibilities
- Planning, directing, and coordinating activities of the project (including project schedules, order phasing, product shipping and delivery, and installation) to ensure goals or objectives of the project are accomplished within prescribed time frame, within the budgeted parameters, and within the defined project management policies and procedures
- Generating quotes for labor, materials, and project management services to assist the sales team in responding to bids
- Ensuring the quality and accuracy of each project by reviewing the job order for job stoppers, the installation job packets, the punch list completion relating to product and services, the project paperwork signoff
- Ensuring service delivery by performing site inspections and walkthroughs to verify critical information and review project progress, including pre-installation site walkthrough with the general contractor, pre-punch walkthrough with installation team, and punch walkthrough with the client
- Monitoring profitability of a project by tracking and managing labor and project management hours of each project
- Entering all project management time into the accounting system to track cost-able goal.
- Facilitating and attending necessary internal and external meetings and preparing necessary status reports to ensure project tasks are being completed in a timely fashion
- Initiating, establishing, and maintaining business relationships with all key stakeholders of the project whether internal or external to the company
- Working directly with the client regarding changes to the project scope, assessment of possible constraints and identification of new service opportunities
- Contributing to a team effort by accomplishing related results or projects as needed, including assisting with performance reviews for other departments
The Qualifications and/or Experience
The preferred candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree (B. A. or B. S.) from an accredited college or university; or minimum of 3-4 years working in a similar position preferably within the office furniture industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working in a similar position within the office furniture industry or facilities,
- Possessing specialized knowledge of office furniture product, design, ordering process, and installation.
- Technical and professional proficiency applying project management methodology and technical skills to create, read, and interpret project plans and specifications for internal and external customers.
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point, Microsoft Project, Kiosk, CAP using a laptop and iPad.
- Possessing business acumen, understands the overall office furniture industry and the company’s products and services, especially industry-specific solutions that can adapt to our customers’ unique needs.
- Ability to coordinate, plan, organize or manage multiple responsibilities and high-volume workload effectively with speed and accuracy.
- Demonstrating detail orientation, understanding the importance of doing quality work and adhering to the standards to prevent errors.

Work Environment and Physical/Mental Demands
The position requires working typically in a professional office environment, including some time in the field, such as traveling to various client locations within Colorado. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as office phone/smartphone, computer/laptop/computer keyboard/mouse, photocopiers, filing cabinets and printers. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Ability to visit and move around at construction and other customer/work sites, wearing appropriate safety protective gear. Ability to lift, carry, and otherwise transport work-related materials that frequently weigh up to 10 lbs. and that may occasionally weigh in excess of 25 lbs. Ability to work with numbers, research complex issues and resolve problems. Requires more advanced mathematical skills in order to understand spatial requirements and in doing bids. Must be able to read and comprehend complex written material, as well as ability to analyze, compare, evaluate, reconcile, and order data.

Qualifications
Salary : $65,000 - $85,000
