Our client, Modesto Battery Company & Supplies, Inc., is a battery supplier in Modesto, California. Modesto Battery has hand selected the top battery manufactures to provide their customers with the highest quality batteries for automotive, agriculture, commercial and more!
They are seeking an energetic and reliable individual to join their team. This is a full-time sales position, for someone with basic knowledge of the industry. The primary functions of this position are to provide prompt and courteous service to all customers and potential customers of the store (including walk-in, delivery customers, and telephone inquiries). Providing direct contact with all customers by providing courteous, efficient, and professional service is a priority.
Schedule will be Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m.to 5:30 p.m.
Job Description:
Battery Sales- - help customers determine the right battery for their needs.
- Become proficient in product knowledge.
- Provide sales quotes and recommend products appropriately.
- Serve customers by phone, in person and by email.
- Treat customers fairly, with dignity and honesty.
- Listen attentively to the customers' needs. Battery inventory management
- - labeling and posting prices.
- Stocking and cleaning the store.
- Check voltage in store.
- Charge store stock batteries.
- Back up all order and follow up on orders.
- Check in inventory, turn in paperwork to manager, put stock away.
- Morning, afternoon and closing duties assigned on the daily.
Qualifications for the position include:
- General knowledge of batteries.
- Professional appearance.
- Strong computer skills.
- Good communication & organizational skills.
- Able to work in inclement weather, whether hot, cold, windy or rainy.
- Able to establish and maintain good relations with customers by providing courteous, efficient, and professional service.
- Enjoy working with people in a fast-spaced setting; be competitive yet have the ability to work calmly under pressure.
- Able to study and learn about the large variety of batteries in inventory and remember the specifications on each as necessary to help the customer.
- Bilingual a plus.
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Light sales knowledge.
- Must have a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Requirements:
- Must be authorized to work in United States.
- Pass a background check.
- Pass a Pre-Employment drug screen.
- Available to work Monday through Friday.

Rate of Pay: Starting at $19.00 an hour with a wage increase after successful completion of the 90 day introductory period.
