The ideal candidate will have a strong background in interior design, coupled with robust project management and budgeting skills. • Develop and present design proposals, budgets, and timelines that align with the client’s vision and goals.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress, address any concerns, and manage any changes or revisions.
  • Project Design and Development:
  • Lead the development of design concepts with creativity, functionality, and aesthetic alignment with client goals.
  • Oversee the design process, from conceptual sketches and layouts to final material and furnishing selections.
  • Collaborate with other designers on our team to meet design standards and project timelines.
  • Prepare design presentations and oversee the production of design documents, drawings, and 3D renderings as needed.
  • Financial Oversight:
  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial objectives are met without compromising design integrity.
  • Monitor and control costs throughout the project to maintain budgeted amounts.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors, for the best price, materials and services.
  • Conduct regular financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis for clients and internal team.
  • Project Management and Execution:
  • Full scope project management, ensuring timelines, quality standards, and budgets are met.
  • Development of architectural and FF E specifications and incorporation into project documents.
  • Coordination of RFIs with local architects/contractors, and production of sketches to support projects.
  • Oversee construction and installation of design elements, including punchlist support.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and other third-parties for seamless project delivery.
  • Conduct site visits and manage project installations so the design vision is fully realized.
  • Troubleshoot any issues that arise, ensuring minimal disruption to the timeline and budget.
  • Leadership and Team Development:
  • Lead internal project meetings and coordinate with the team to streamline project workflows and efficiency.
  • Stay updated on design trends, materials, and industry best practices, integrating innovative solutions into projects.

Your qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ Degree in interior design or interior architecture.
  • 10 years of professional experience in commercial interior design, with at least 3-5 years in project management. Specialized experience in hospitality, education, and/or workplace strategy is preferred.
  • Experience creating overall project concepts with a keen ability to consider how each individual aspect interacts with the project as a whole.
