WorkReady Texas provides employment services for individuals with disabilities and is looking for a highly qualified person to oversee our services in Beaumont.
Working with adults and students, the job of the WorkReady Program Manager is to administer and manage our services in these areas. These services include Job Skills Training, Job Placement, Supported Employment, Customer Assessments, Vocational Classroom Instruction in the high schools, and after school Work Experiences.
The Program Manager position is a comprehensive management position requiring past management and human services experience. It is a highly independent position requiring excellent organization and planning skills, written and verbal communication skills, problem-solving and administration skills, marketing skills to counselors and employers, computer proficiency, high energy, self-motivation, and effective time management working within rigid timelines.
Program Managers also participate in hiring and training new Employment Specialists.
The position has a base salary of $40,000 during the first four months while training and credentialing, then is moved to an incentive-based pay plan earned from all services provided in the area. The income range for a successful Program Manager is $67,000-$85,000 per year.
This is a performance-based pay plan with great income opportunity.
Applicants must be professional, initiative-taking, with a strong work ethic and desire to see our customers and staff succeed. They must be able to work from 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday, although the job requires flexibility with evenings and weekends at times. Individuals must have a home office and have experience working out of their home.
Three online credentialing courses through the University of North Texas are required and will be paid for by WorkReady. The Program Manager will first function as an Employment Specialist until specialists are added to the area.
Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in a Human Services field (Rehabilitation, Education, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Criminal justice act.), and one year of documented professional experience assisting individuals with disabilities.
OR
Three years of documented professional experience providing services to individuals with disabilities, those at risk or with a mental health diagnosis.
