Job Overview :

WorkSmart is seeking a highly detail-oriented and reliable In-House Resource to support our IT operations. This full-time, in-office role is essential in managing IT inventory, preparing hardware for deployment, and assisting with on-site client setups. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in an organized environment, can handle repetitive tasks with precision, and takes pride in ensuring IT equipment is properly accounted for and ready for use.

While this role is primarily based in our office, occasional on-site visits to client locations may be required to deploy computers or assist with hardware installations.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Inventory Management – Track, document, and organize incoming and outgoing IT hardware.
  • Hardware Processing – Receive, inspect, and log IT equipment from vendors and clients.
  • Device Setup & Configuration – Prepare computers for deployment, including imaging, software installation, and hardware configuration.
  • Network and infrastructure setup – Prepare switches, wireless access points, and other infrastructure for deployment, including firmware upgrades, resetting equipment, testing, and initial configuration.
  • In-House support – Assist clients with drop off or pickup needs and assist internal WorkSmart staff with technical issues.
  • Basic Troubleshooting – Conduct initial checks on hardware and software before escalating issues to senior technicians.

Qualifications & Skills :

  • 1-2 years of experience in IT support, hardware management, or inventory control.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately.
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware, networking devices, and IT infrastructure.
  • Ability to lift and transport IT equipment such as servers, switches, and workstations.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to track and document inventory meticulously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to work full-time from our office, with no remote work opportunities.
