Automation Technician

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Conveyor Belt System Automation Technician to join our client's facility team. This role focuses on the overall up keep, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of conveyor belt systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability in operations and monitoring the order outbound accuracy.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair conveyor belt systems, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient operation.
• Collaborate with Facilities, and/or Building Management, to conduct light-duty mechanical work as needed.
• Communicate with Warehouse Management System (WMS) integrators to diagnose and resolve issues related to system integration and application synchronization.
• Monitor daily operations to ensure all applications and systems are functioning correctly and in sync. To include Providing daily EOD and weekly status updates on equipment performance, highlighting any consistent issues or trends observed.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on conveyor systems to identify potential issues before they escalate. To include Document of maintenance activities, repairs, and any modifications made to the system.
• Identify and escalate reporting of process failures among staff that may impact the upkeep of equipment, providing recommendations for improvements to KPI’s.
• Assist in the implementation of automation improvements to enhance system efficiency.
• Develop a sophisticated and rigorous order outbound inspection and verification process to ensure the order and the system syncs are accurate. Checking the order, product and info are matched to each other and check the outbound inventory is correct in the odoo system.
• Training for the on-floor users.
• Proofread and reconcile the report with the final daily quantities and check that the data from the Odoo system are consistent

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree in mechanics, automation, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience in facility maintenance or mechanical work, ideally with conveyor belt systems.
• Familiarity with WMS and experience in troubleshooting system integrations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members, Management, and external integrators.
• Knowledge of logistics and inventory management systems, with experience using WMS software.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
