What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler position at WorkSmart Staffing?
Duties and Responsibilities :
Loading, unloading, shipping and receiving warehouse items
Transporting materials to different locations within the facility
Load and unload trucks
Optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency
Operating and managing technical equipment
Securing loads to machines before transportation
Place material in racks
Requirements :
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Good attention to detail
Ability to pass a forklift test
Some computer ability required
Nice To Have, But Not Required :
High school diploma or GED preferred
Manufacturing and material handling experience
Things To Consider :
Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
Warehouse environment - occasionally exposed to hot or cold temperatures
Knowledge of metals (aluminum, steel), previous metal warehouse experience a plus
