Excavation Laborer

JOB SUMMARY
An employer in Parkdale, Oregon is seeking an Excavation Laborer. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in various excavation projects, assisting in the preparation, excavation, and backfilling of sites. As an Excavation Laborer, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery, digging trenches, and grading surfaces to ensure that sites are ready for further construction activities. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of construction safety practices. You will work closely with experienced operators and foremen to execute tasks that adhere to project specifications and timelines. Candidates should have a strong work ethic and be prepared to work in varying weather conditions.

REQUIREMENTS
*Minimum 2 years' proven experience operating with residential underground utilities and maintaining excavation equipment.
*Must have a valid Driver's License to drive company truck to work sites. Employer will conduct DMV records check.
*Employer will conduct pre-employment drug screen.

PREFERENCES
*CDL license preferred but not required. Will train the right candidate.
*Knowledge of excavation practices and construction site safety regulations.

JOB DUTIES
*Operate heavy machinery including bulldozers, loaders, and graders.
*Perform regular inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
*Assist in the preparation and clearing of construction sites to ensure project readiness.
*Work in collaboration with site supervisors and other team members to execute project plans effectively.
*Monitor and adhere to safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
*Transport materials and equipment to and from the job site as needed.
*Record and report any equipment malfunctions or issues to supervisors promptly.
*Work in all weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
