Join the team as a Head Start Teacher Advocate! This employer is a locally based non-profit organization serving in the counties of Crook, Deschutes, Jefferson, as well as the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs. They seek to help families located in Central Oregon meet basic needs like food, shelter, education, skills, and hope for the future. The Teacher Advocate will foster the educational development of young children and empower parents as their primary educators. This position is located in La Pine, Oregon.
REQUIREMENTS
- An associate degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with a minimum of 35 college quarter credit hours in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related classes
- In lieu of a degree, Step 9 in the Oregon Registry Online required, which is equivalent to an AA in ECE
- Valid driver's license and proof of valid insurance, this position may be required to travel to parents' homes for meetings
- Current enrollment in the OR Office of Childcare Central Background Registry (CBR)
