Required:

Summary:
Under supervision of the Housing Choice voucher Program Manager. Maintain a caseload of up to 350 families receiving assistance from the Housing Choice Voucher program, and perform technical and clerical tasks.
Duties Include:
* Comply with all approved policies and procedures, federal regulations and state statues as they relate to the Housing Choice Voucher program
* Schedule and process annual and special redeterminations of eligibility following established guidelines and procedures
* Schedule and conduct consideration appointments where you will determine eligibility for program participation
* Work with other agencies to assist those which Housing Choice Vouchers to find satisfactory and suitable housing
* Schedule and process annual reexams and interim exams
* Assemble verified income, assists and medical and unusual expenses, calculate rent amounts, utility allowances from chart, obtain required signatures, and complete necessary files
* Interface with landlords to ensure that lease or rental contract is processed correctly
* Prepare lease/contract documents, and ensure compliance of program for all participants
* Serve as liaison between agency and general public, maintaining contacts personally or by telephone, referring people to other agencies when appropriate, assist families transferring from one Housing Authority to another
* Perform in-home interviews for participants who are unable to come to the office
* Work closely with the HQS Inspector for compliance of units
* Advise tenants of program regulations
* Review records and perform investigation of cases involving potential program abuse
* Establish and maintain accurate computer records of all tenants on caseload
* Issue correspondence informing owner of maintenance requirements and rent negotiations, and abatement proceedings, when necessary
* Issue correspondence regarding tenant eligibility and program terminations
* Assist in the check-run process to assure that all landlords are getting paid each month and that the changes made are put into effect
* Provide coverage at front desk from breaks and absences
* Perform other related duties as assigned
