JOB SUMMARY
Employer provides janitorial, maintenance, and consumable dispensing systems and products under contract with various commercial, industrial, manufacturing, and healthcare facilities throughout the Columbia Gorge Region. This position is responsible for performing general cleaning and sanitation duties, i.e., sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, surface disinfection, restroom cleaning, waste and recycling collection and removal. Applicant must be physically able to perform the duties required for cleaning while actively working on their feet and walking distances with equipment for several consecutive hours at a time. Applicant must be able to work independently, read and interpret cleaning checklists and safety documents, and effectively communicate with management.
REQUIREMENTS
*Employer will conduct criminal and work history background checks.
*Pre-employment drug screening to be considered.
PREFERENCES
*Experience in commercial cleaning or housekeeping preferred.
JOB DUTIES
*Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in all assigned areas of the building.
*Clean and sanitize, replenishing supplies as needed.
*Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper disposal of waste.
*Dust and wipe down surfaces, including desks, countertops, and equipment.
*Maintain floors by stripping, waxing, and polishing as needed.
*Operate heavy cleaning equipment as needed.
*Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management.
*Respond to special requests for clean-ups and maintenance from other staff members.
