Otak, Inc. isseeking to hire a Senior Hydraulics Project Engineer to join the Waterand Natural Resources team in our Portland, OR or Vancouver, WA office.As a Senior Project Engineer, you will play an essential role insupporting a wide range of project initiatives, including bridge andculvert hydraulics, floodplain permitting, stream, river, and estuaryrestoration, and barrier removal and fish passage projects. Bring yourin-depth knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, along with asolid background in hydraulic design, to our growing team! This positionmay be based out of our Portland, OR or Vancouver, WA office. To learnmore about Otak\'s WNR team and projects, please watch the followingvideo : https : / / www.otak.com / otaks-wnr-team / What you\'ll do : Providetechnical excellence and thought leadership in the areas of bridgehydraulics scour countermeasure design, river mechanics, channelstability, sediment transport, and floodplain permitting. Performhydrologic and hydraulic modeling. Conduct design calculations. Prepareconstruction documents in support of transportation projects. Prepareconstruction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates. Create designand permitting reports. Collect and analyze data. Prepare studies andmaster plans. Prepare technical approaches / scope, schedule, and budgetsfor proposals. Assist in assigning duties and schedules to team member.Mentor and evaluate team members\' work. Perform constructionengineering and observation. What you bring : Master\'s degree in Civilor Environmental Engineering with an emphasis in Water Resources orHydraulic Engineering, or similar discipline is preferred. Minimum of 8years of Project Engineering experience in hydraulic engineering orrelated field. Valid Professional Engineer (PE) license required. Adeptwith the application of water resources models such as HEC-RAS andSRH2D. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, ArcGIS, and AutoCAD orMicroStation. Ability to prioritize, manage, and deliver multipleprojects with simultaneous deadlines in a multi-discipline environment.Strong written and verbal communication skills.
