This is an entry-level position that offers on-the-job training. You will be working with a technician to provide support and learn the skills to become a Mobile Service Technician, a role that provides dairy farmers with services and products related to activities and needs within the 'milking center' as well as other operations
Minimum Requirements:
- Twenty-one (21) years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license to drive company vehicles to various job sites in Oregon and Washington
- Mechanically Inclined (professional or personal experience)
- Experience using Microsoft Office products and computers
Preferred (Not Required):
- Speak, read and write fluently in Spanish
- Experience with hand and power shop tools, equipment, and diagnostic devices
- Experience in an agricultural setting
- Forklift experience
- Customer service experience
Job Duties:
- Perform maintenance technician support by assisting with and learning troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, vacuum systems and refrigeration systems
- Assist with daily activities including warehouse help, route help and parts delivery
- Frequent sitting, standing, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, stooping, kneeling, or squatting daily
- Create and maintain records of all service activities and business reporting documentation
- Drive a van / truck and possibly a flatbed trailer to and from customer sites or between locations daily, including frequent driving time of 3 hours daily with some overnight stays
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of all Excel Dairy Service property including the company vehicle, tools, parts, inventory, and equipment
- Follow all safety protocols and utilize proper PPE
- Attend weekly / monthly meetings
- Collaborate with internal partners such as sales, customer service, technical assistance, field service support, and other technicians to support your success
Employer Notes:
- This employer conducts a DMV records check before first day of employment
- On-the-job and online training, employer states it takes about a year to become a Mobile Service Technician
- Frequent travel within Oregon and Washington to perform the work and attend required trainings, some overnight stays
- Ideal candidate is dedicated, willing to learn and punctual
Hours and Wage:
- $15 to $18, depending on experience
- Monday thru Friday, 40 hours per week, some weekends
