A local employer is seeking qualified applicants to fill a Substitute Caregiver. This is an opportunity to help people who have been homeless get back on their feet. Adult Foster Home supports residents so they can get back on their feet.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years old
- 6 months experience
- Current CPR and First Aid certification from recognized organizations like the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross before first day of employment
Preferred (Not Required)
- Valid Oregon Driver's License
- Mental health knowledge or Nurse, Peer support specialist
Job Duties:
- Make meals
- Conduct light house keeping
- Documentation of daily residential activities
- Medication administration.
- Communication with Medical providers to coordinate care.
- General duties to maintain household
- Supporting residents to become self-sufficient.
- Know fire safety and emergency procedures and can respond appropriately to emergency situations at all times
Employer Notes:
- Pass a Drug Testing and background check
- Be proficient in English for effective communication with clients, care manager and partners
- Possess the physical health and mental health determined necessary by the Division to - provide 24-hour care for adults who are mentally ill
- Provide evidence of completion of the approved course on Mandatory Reporting for Individuals Working in Community Mental Health Programs, or another equivalent courses

Wages, Hours and Benefits
- 120.00 $ per Day, Depending on Experience, Negotiable, Depending on Qualifications
- 2 days on and 5 days off
