Director of Nursing (DON)
The Director of Nursing is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of the Clinical/Nursing Services Department to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the nursing service department and its programs and activities in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the nursing care industry.
- Develop, maintain, and periodically update written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the nursing service department.
- Evaluate department processes, make recommendations, and implement compliance and quality improvement policies, programs, and procedures.
Requirements:
- Valid California RN license, in good standing, and current CPR and BLS certifications.
- Minimum three (3) years' experience as a supervisor in a hospital or nursing setting, preferred.
- Minimum six (6) months experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
