The Private Events Manager is a self-motivated leader with an entrepreneurial spirit and a relentless desire to win. They will be responsible for the implementation, development, and ongoing evolution of the company’s private dining program, ensuring private events are coordinated with guests and operations staff and executed seamlessly. The Private Events Manager will be responsible for recruiting, hiring, and training a highly skilled private events team that executes on-brand, buzzworthy experiences. The Private Events Manager is sales driven, working closely with the culinary team to develop strategies to maintain a full book of business and help contribute to overall restaurant sales. They are detail-oriented with a deep passion for hospitality and culinary excellence, and a commitment to the highest standards of service and operations, ensuring that our Iconic Hospitality is reflected from start to finish.
Duties
- Foster a cohesive and collaborative team environment through exemplary leadership.
- Meet or exceed annual private event sales planning / execution goals, including proactive outreach to increase book of business year over year.
- Recruit, train, and supervise private events team, including performance evaluations, investigation and resolution of personnel issues, and disciplinary / termination decisions.
- Train partners on private event execution in alignment with front of house and back of house company policies and standards.
- Lead weekly meetings with restaurant management team; enroll leaders on upcoming private events, menu specifications, planned execution, and staffing needs.
- Manage private event labor scheduling, budgets, and costs.
- Promptly triage and manage all private event requests received through various communication channels, such as reservation software, business email accounts, and phone inquiries.
- Create and execute event contracts and banquet event orders (BEO).
- Conduct store / market visits within the region to meet with operations management teams.
- Resolve service issues and guest complaints with a sense of urgency, poise, and good judgment.
- Follow and enforce all food and alcohol service and handling safety precautions and procedures.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
