Responsibilities:
- Own the feature definition of products or product lines
- Define feature details, use cases, business rules, requirements, and user flows
- Own and maintain an ordered backlog based on priority for new features, enhancements, and new products
- Create, develop, and execute strategic plans to deliver new features, enhancements, or new products from concept to launch
- Conduct research and analyze the market and competitive environment to identify customer needs, market gaps, and opportunities to create a differentiated product vision that delivers value across multiple platforms
- Define and measure KPIs to evaluate the impact of what is delivered and prioritize iterations as needed
- Own goals, roadmaps, priorities, education, rollouts, and communication for the team
- Ensure initiatives align with product goals and objectives
- Provide cross-functional leadership and bridge organizational gaps between different functional groups, most often between Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Support
- Elaborate on ideas with wireframes and mockups (in conjunction with designers)
- Solicit and prioritize product feedback from internal (Sales, Support, Executive, etc.) and external (customers) stakeholders to expand product backlog
- Serve as the product expert and go-to-person for product questions, advice, and ideas
- Manage releases through feature review and sign-off, release notes (internal and external), assist with training, and online help creation as needed
- Drive execution and remove roadblocks
- Problem-solve existing challenges and anticipate potential future issues
- Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Produce quality work while maintaining a strong sense of urgency
- Participate in project planning meetings and activities
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Experience with SaaS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Product Development, Product Design, or equivalent work experience
- 2 plus years of product management or related experience
- High level of focus and precision ensuring no details are overlooked
- Experience with the design and development of web and mobile applications
- Ability to rely on experience and judgment to make informed decisions and effectively plan for desired outcomes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay focused under pressure
- Able to listen actively, express ideas clearly (verbal and written), and facilitate a collaborative environment
- Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodology
