Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and automate processes to ensure the accurate and timely exchange of information between business units as well as external partners.
- Leverage SQL to create and maintain reporting designed to understand business performance and drive success.
- Act as a strategy partner making data-driven decisions that increase return on investment, identify areas of opportunity, reduce portfolio risk, and foster mutually beneficial relationships between business units as well as external partners.
- Develop KPIs to help monitor performance across diverse business groups.
- Organize and standardize data for long-term storage and analysis.
- Analyze results and provide insights into how key metrics are impacting the business, with a focus on creating actionable takeaways for other business units to learn from.
- Provide ad hoc reporting as needed for internal and external partners.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.
- Strong interest in business strategies and a high-level of business acumen.
- Excellent data skills with an attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and Project Management skills.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external partners.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Excellent MS Excel skills (pivot tables, data summarization, data visualization, etc.).
- Knowledge of other data/statistical tools (Python or R preferred but not required).
Education and/or Experience:
- 4-year degree in a business or technical related field (business, accounting, finance, economics, sciences, engineering, statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, etc.) or MBA.
- 3-5 years of business analysis and/or strategy experience.
- Lending or Consumer Finance Industry experience a plus.
- Process Development, Balance Reconciliation, and Project Management experiences are a plus.
- Certification in Microsoft SQL Server (preferred, not required).
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to constantly remain in a stationary position.
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
- Occasionally may require light lifting up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment:
- Office environment.
- Occasional travel may be required.
