Description

IFC — a member of the World Bank Group — is the largest global development institution focused on the private sector in emerging markets. Our mission is to leverage the power of the private sector to end extreme poverty and boost shared prosperity on a livable planet. For more information, visit www.ifc.org.

Private sector development is essential to the promotion of successful and sustainable economies in low- and middle-income countries around the world. Infrastructure plays a key role in sustained economic growth by providing critical public services to the citizens in a country as well as a platform for efficient operation of businesses that create jobs.
