Job Overview

World Bridge Technologies is hiring Date Cabling Installers, with 2 years of experience in low voltage cabling. This is a full-time position with a pay rate of $43.78/hr.

Low Voltage Installers must be able to work at heights, off ladders and in confined spaces, lift 50 pounds and move up to 75 pounds.

Regular attendance is mandatory

Must know the universal communications color codes.

Must be able to travel within San Diego County area as needed.

Must possess and be proficient with the following tools: Screwdrivers (regular and Phillips), drywall saw, torpedo level, tape measure, snips (with belt sheath), pliers (needle nose and channel locks), hammer, wrench set, cable stripper, flashlight and gloves. Punch tool with 110 block and 66 block blades, tone set, 6/8 position combo crimp tool.

Must have proven skill level to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including but not limited to, specifications, reports and quality control requirements.

Must meet company minimum driving standards.

Must be able to pass a background check.

Must possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalency.

Low Voltage Installer Responsibilities:

· Must be able to perform the technical responsibilities of a cable installer and function as a lead member of the team.

· Install a work area outlet for floor or wall (terminate CAT 6 & CAT 6A jacks.

· Mount face plates and work surface mount boxes correctly.

· Adhere to World Bridge Technologies labeling standards.

· Build closets (mount and install backboards, cross connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optic and hardware).

· Install grounding for racks, equipment and cable as required.

· Complete all IDC connections (i.e. terminate 110/66 blocks and patch panels)

· Perform testing: continuity test horizontal and riser cable; use of volt-ohmmeter; troubleshoot opens, crosses, shorts and transpose pairs on horizontal and riser cable; use a tone set.

· Adhere to and participate in all company, customer and industry quality and safety standards and regulations.

· Complete all other responsibilities, as assigned.

· Must be self-motivated, positive in approach, professional and help create, develop and implement project process improvement.

· Must promote the company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients and business partners.
