Position Title : Graphic Designer Department : MarketingReports To : Marketing Manager Position Status : ExemptOCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY : The Graphic Designer has the primary responsibility for managing multiple design projects as assigned, specifically for print media, to ensure first-class, quality image of World Changers Church International.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Responsible for design of all print graphics projectsSubmits creative conceptsSketches and draws thumbnails as foundation for graphics projects when necessaryRegularly makes suggestions for improvement of advertising and promotionsProvides design consultation with Graphics Project Coordinator to project originators helping them to achieve their objectivesResearches and prepares artwork best suited to achieve objectivesRequests photo shoots when necessary for graphics projectsSubmits error-free projectsProperly maintains all equipment and supplies relating to performing jobCompletes all projects on timeManages multiple projects and completes them all in accordance with instructions and deadlinesRegularly communicates with Graphics Project Coordinator on project status and expected completion datePerforms other duties as assignedCreates mock-ups of projects when necessaryPROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND LEADERSHIP Must be born again and Spirit-filledMust be proficient in Quark Xpress, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe InDesignMust have basic knowledge of Microsoft WordPossesses excellent grammar and communication skillsMust be able to manage multiple assignmentsMust be detail orientedMust be customer focusedMust be able to prepare press-ready artworkRequires minimal supervisionTakes initiative to research and learn of training opportunities that will enhance skillsEDUCATION : Must have obtained a degree in Graphic Design or related fieldEXPERIENCE : Must have a minimum of three years of professional work experience as a Graphic Artist High School Diploma requiredMust submit a portfolio of previous designsSKILLS / ABILITIES : Multiple task orientedCreativeFlexibleExtremely strong / interpersonal skillsA gracious, Christ-like demeanor in demanding situationsEQUIPMENT TO BE USED : ComputerScannerWORKING CONDITIONS : Normal office environment
