The Purchasing Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement process of World Class, which includes identifying necessary products and services, researching and evaluating vendors, negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of items while optimizing costs and maintaining quality standards, all while adhering to World Class policies, procedures, and core values.
Essential Job Functions:
- Identify potential suppliers, evaluate capabilities and pricing, establish strong relationships with key vendors.
- Negotiate purchase agreements with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms regarding price, delivery time, quality, and payment conditions.
- Analyze market trends and supplier options to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce procurement costs.
- Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and place orders to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Review and approve purchase requisitions, generate purchase orders, and track order status.
- Establish quality standards for procured products and ensure suppliers adhere to set standards.
- Generate reports on purchasing metrics, including spend, supplier performance, and cost savings.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, management, business, or a combination of proven experience and success within a similar role.
- Strengths in communications, interpersonal skills, confidentiality, careful attention to detail and organization, self-starting, and dependable.
- Proven skills in leadership and supervision.
- Demonstrated understanding of lead manufacturing principles and supply chain management principles.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
Working Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to a dry, well-lit work environment. No extreme temperatures (<32F or >110F). No vibratory exposure per day. No extremes in audiometric exposure (>80 Decibels). No known air quality issues in facility.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
