Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Spanish Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop proficiency in Spanish while fostering an appreciation for Spanish-speaking cultures. This role involves creating engaging lessons that align with academic standards and promote language acquisition through interactive and immersive teaching methods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective Spanish language curriculum aligned with academic standards.
- Design engaging lessons that incorporate speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages language practice and cultural exploration.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
- Assess student progress regularly through both formal and informal assessments.
- Support individual learning plans and differentiate instruction as needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the school community to support student success.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Spanish, or a related field .
- Valid teaching license or certification (or the ability to obtain).
- Proficiency in Spanish with strong communication skills in both Spanish and English.
- Experience teaching Spanish, preferably in an immersion or dual-language program.
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of language acquisition theories and immersion teaching strategies.
- Ability to integrate technology effectively into language instruction.
- Experience with differentiated instruction and culturally responsive teaching practices.
Salary:
Competitive salary range of $55,000 to $70,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
