The Human Resources Manager specializing in Learning and Development (L&D) is a critical role focused on designing, implementing, and managing training programs that support the organization’s onboarding process, luxury service model, job safety, and other hospitality-driven learning initiatives. This position will establish the foundation for a learning culture, ensuring all programs align with organizational goals and foster excellence in service delivery.
The HR Manager – L&D collaborates with leaders across departments to facilitate training sessions, develop content, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Additionally, the role oversees compliance with mandatory training requirements, tracks attendance, and provides regular reporting to ensure accountability. As a new position within the company, the HR Manager – L&D will play a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s culture and driving engagement through effective learning initiatives.

Travel
Local and regional travel is required resulting in overnight trips. This position requires the successful candidate to have a valid Driver’s license. The successful candidate would have to provide proof that s/he has a valid driver’s license upon being hired.

Key Responsibilities
Learning and Development Program Management
- Design, implement, and manage onboarding programs that set new hires up for success and align with the company’s culture and values.
- Develop and oversee training programs that support the luxury service model, job safety, and other hospitality-driven L&D initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to incorporate leaders and subject matter experts into training facilitation, fostering cross-departmental collaboration.
- Create and maintain a library of training resources, materials, and job aids for team members and leaders.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, and implement improvements as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all mandatory training requirements, including regulatory and safety training.
- Track attendance and completion of training programs, maintaining accurate records for reporting and compliance purposes.
- Provide regular updates to the Assistant DHR and leadership team on L&D initiatives, progress, and outcomes.
- Partner with department leaders to identify training needs, develop customized solutions, and encourage active participation in learning initiatives.
- Serve as a resource and advisor to leaders on best practices for training and development within their teams.
- Act as a champion for the company’s culture by integrating core values into all learning and development efforts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field or experience equivalent.
- 2 years of experience in learning and development, training design, or leadership role with proven experience in training and developing others, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Proven ability to design and implement engaging training programs and initiatives.
- Strong understanding of luxury service standards and hospitality best practices.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and other training tools.
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and reporting abilities to measure training effectiveness and compliance.
