Assistant Planner Manager Role

Position Summary
Work closely with sales managers, internal teams and other stakeholders to create and execute annual sales plans aligned with business objectives and customer needs. Drive sales through cross functional collaboration, data analysis, and strong project management skills to identify potential risks and opportunities.
Job Duties:
- Maintain planning timeline to complete key deliverables on time with accuracy
- Develop sales forecast by item, brand and retailer through analysis of historical data, sales inputs and brand strategy
- Act as liaison between all internal and external stakeholders to ensure mutual goals are established and alignments is gained across all parties
- Analyze sales data and trends to identify opportunities and challenges, developing and updating sales forecasts and budgets based on historical performance and current data
- Partner closely with Regional Sales Managers to develop trade investment budgets in support of actionable in-store promotions, shopper and digital activities
- Actualize forecast and identify variances to plan, researching causation and developing corrective action (gap closure)
- Provide monthly commentary to senior management (brand/sales) on drivers of market performance (IRI and shipments) with recommendations to improve trends where needed
- Assist with maintaining budget through deductions review and reporting analysis
- Maintain Customer Fact Sheet leveraging CRM data
- Build and monitor New Item trackers to include acceptances, incremental items, lost distribution and key account promo plans
- Build pipeline volume estimates and phasing for financial and operational planning

Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree is required.
- MBA is preferred.
