OVERALL POSITION DESCRIPTION: World Food Program, USA is looking to add a Data Analytics Intern to their team. The Data Analytics Intern will assist the Senior Data & Reporting Analyst with the deployment of internal reports and interactive data-driven dashboards depicting organization-wide key performance indicators (KPIs). The intern must be able to understand complex business requirements and think creatively about the most effective ways of cleaning, formatting, visualizing, and presenting data.

- Extracting, wrangling, and transforming large datasets from multiple systems.
- Collaborating with stakeholders, understanding their data needs, and presenting key findings effectively.
- Translating requirements into data and metrics that meet business and information needs.
- Use graphs, infographics, tables, and other methods to effectively visualize data.
- Processing confidential data and information according to guidelines.
- Implementing KPI reports and interactive data visualization dashboards
- Fulfilling ad hoc data requests.
- Training end-users on new reports and dashboards.
- Utilizing statistical analysis, machine learning, or AI tools to implement predictive models.
Qualifications
A well-qualified candidate will possess the following:
- Ability to think critically and creatively about turning data into insights.
- Pursuing a master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or related field.
- Experience with interactive data visualization software such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Experience with statistical programming languages such as R, Python, and SQL.
- Experience with relational database management systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
