World is seeking a Senior Vice President of Corporate Development, reporting to the Chief Corporate Development Officer. The SVP – Corporate Development will lead the strategy and sourcing of all financial services transactions in World’s retirement and wealth lines of business. This role is crucial in driving World’s inorganic growth strategy.
Headquartered in Iselin, NJ, World is a unique professional services organization offering our clients a world-class suite of products and services in business and personal insurance, employee and executive benefits, retirement planning and financial services, and human capital management solutions. Having completed over 300 transactions since 2011, World has deep expertise in creating lasting shareholder value through high-volume M&A processes. This position will lead the team that is responsible for driving strategy, origination, and execution of all transactions in the retirement and wealth sectors.
Primary Responsibilities
- Inorganic Growth Strategy
Ownership of the inorganic growth strategy for World’s retirement and wealth lines of business.
Drive and manage outbound sourcing resources and processes.
Lead negotiations with sellers prior to LOI.
Manage the board approval process for all financial services transactions.
Leading the financial services corporate development team and ensuring the achievement of organizational goals.

Physical Demands
Office work involves working at a desk most of the time, using a stand-up / sit-down adjustable desk. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and / or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Typing, grasping, and repetitive motion typically is required every day, and walking and standing are required occasionally.
